About the title
As a result of an accident during a particle accelerator experiment, forensic scientist Barry Allen is struck by a powerful bolt of lightning and spends months confined to a hospital bed in a coma. Doctors offer no guarantees. However, Barry not only regains consciousness but discovers he has gained a unique ability — he can now move through space at the speed of light. Barry takes the alias the Flash and decides to devote his life to saving everyone in trouble. But first, using his gift, Allen decides to travel back in time to save his mother, who was murdered years ago before his eyes — and, at the same time, to save his father from prison, since it was he who was accused of the murder.
