About the title
5,000 years ago, Black Adam was granted the powers of the Egyptian gods and imprisoned. Now he is freed from his tomb and prepares to show the world a unique approach to the fight for justice. The fantasy action film "Black Adam" will be the eleventh film in the expanded DC cinematic universe. It was originally planned that the superhero's first on-screen appearance would be in the 2019 film "Shazam!," but the producers' plans later changed. It is known that the character, played by Dwayne Johnson, will appear in a solo film as well as in the sequel to "Shazam!." Johnson first announced his desire to bring Black Adam to the big screen back in 2014. According to the actor, he has identified with this particular comic-book hero since childhood.
