About the title
After the battle with the orcs, during which Boromir died, the Fellowship of the Ring broke apart. The hobbits Merry (Dominic Monaghan) and Pippin (Billy Boyd) were taken away by the orcs, but the orcs were attacked at night, and the hobbits, taking advantage of the chaos, fled into the forest, where they met a living tree of the ent race and continued traveling with it. Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) meet a strange creature named Gollum (Andy Serkis), who leads them toward Mordor. However, the most adventures fell to Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), the elf Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and the dwarf Gimli (John Rhys-Davies). The fact is that Saruman, obedient to Sauron's will, has decided to completely destroy the kingdom of Rohan, whose ruler, Theoden (Bernard Hill), is entirely under Saruman's control.
