About the title
A crime saga about the Corleone family, a New York Sicilian Mafia clan. The film spans the years 1945-1955. The head of the family, Don Vito Corleone, marries off his daughter. Around this time, his beloved son Michael returns from World War II. Michael, a war hero and the pride of the family, shows no desire to get involved in the family's ruthless business. Don Corleone runs his affairs by the old rules, but new times are coming, and people appear who want to change the established order. An attempt is made on Don Corleone's life.
