About the title
In Los Angeles, criminals kidnap the young daughter of the Chinese consul, whom Inspector Lee had taught kung fu in Hong Kong. The consul summons Lee to America to take part in freeing the girl. The FBI agents ask the police to assign them their most useless officer, so he can babysit the Chinese inspector, show him the sights, and above all keep him from interfering in their case. That officer turns out to be the most talkative cop, Carter. Naturally, after a series of disagreements and misunderstandings, they join forces and get down to rescuing the hostage in earnest.
