About the series
Japan, the Meiji era. Ten years have passed since the events of the bakumatsu and the uprising against the Tokugawa shogunate. Carrying swords is forbidden, but people are still being killed in the streets. Young wandering samurai Kenshin Himura, once known as the ruthless and elusive assassin Hitokiri Battosai, tries to atone for his bloody past and his deeds.
