About the title
The year 2089. Archaeologists discover cave paintings that are 35,000 years old... Science confirms both their extraterrestrial origin and that they are a clue for humankind — one of many. A clue to what? The answer lies in the star map found in the painting. Four years later, the intergalactic research vessel "Prometheus" reaches a hitherto unknown world... a world that may be home to utterly different beings — the Engineers. The creators of the human race, or of an arsenal of monstrous bioweapons capable of infiltrating, mutating, merging, destroying... or perhaps both? Only one of the Engineers can answer this question — the sole survivor after the monsters they created spiraled out of control. But why were they bred? Why were they being prepared to be taken to Earth? What clues were left on it? Instead of a game of questions and answers, every member of the Prometheus crew, whether human or android, now faces one and the same game — survival...
