About the title
The year 2104. The colony ship "Covenant," carrying living human colonists, is cruising the vastness of deep space on its way to an unsettled world. After being caught in a neutrino burst and escaping with only a minor scare, the crew receives a mysterious signal from an unknown planet that appears to have all the conditions for life. After brief hesitation, the crew sets a new course toward the source of the signal and soon finds themselves in an earthly paradise amid a record wheat harvest. However, their euphoria over this success is cut short by an encounter with the victims of a lack of genetic control and the sole surviving member of the Prometheus expedition — the android David. The uncharted paradise turns into a suicidal nightmare of brutal psychological torment, baths of hydrochloric acid, and a search for spiritual meaning.
