About the title
A German shepherd named Palma is forced to part with her owner, who flies abroad while the loyal dog isn't allowed on the flight and is left behind right on the airfield. Palma hides at the airport and meets every plane each day, hoping her owner has returned. But time goes by... Nine-year-old Kolya is also new to the airport: having lost his mother, he has moved in with his pilot father, whom he barely knows. Palma becomes a kindred spirit and best friend to the boy. Meanwhile, Kolya's father, pilot Lazarev, must earn his son's trust and love by making a hard choice between his career and his family — and find a way to keep the friends together when Palma's owner one day comes back for her.
