About the title
The residents of the small village of Nagpradu, located in northeastern Thailand, are struck by misfortune — the head of the Buddha statue named Ong Bak has gone missing. To bring back the sacred relic, a man is needed who possesses not only intelligence but also physical strength. The only one who meets these requirements is Ting, who learned the martial art of Muay Thai from a monk revered in the village.
