About the series
In the decisive mortal battle for the fate of Earthrealm, the last great warrior — the young monk Kung Lao of the Order of Light temple — defeated the mighty warrior and sorcerer Shen Sung. As punishment for his defeat, the all-powerful ruler of Outworld, the cruel Emperor Shao Kahn, banished Shen Sung to the bottomless cobalt mines, where defeated fighters from hundreds of enslaved realms languish.
