About the title
The danger-filled life on Madagascar failed to meet the expectations of the animals accustomed to the comforts of the New York Zoo — Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo — so the friends decide to flee the island. By chance, the whole group ends up in Africa, where Alex meets the family he was separated from as a child.
