About the title
Lilo is a little girl living in Hawaii. She's an orphan and lives with her older sister Nani. Lilo loves all animals, but she becomes best friends with a little dog named Stitch, who isn't actually a dog at all, but a disguised alien. Here's what happened: a criminal named Stitch was being transported to an intergalactic prison, but he managed to escape and land on Earth, where he met Lilo. Stitch then disguised himself as a dog to hide from the pursuing intergalactic police.
