Female trainees have been sent to the gendarmes. The gendarmes are thrilled — they hold drills with the new recruits in three shifts, 24 hours a day. Their wives, however, are in shock — they throw fits and demand the new employees be fired. A week later, all the girls are kidnapped: taken away in a black car to an unknown location, with no ransom demanded. If Cruchot doesn't bring the trainees back by tomorrow morning, he'll be fired without references or severance.
