About the title
An orca, also known as a killer whale, this huge sea creature, has been separated from its family. People bring it to an amusement park, name it Willy, and expect to make a fortune from its shows. Meanwhile, the audience is introduced to a boy named Jesse, who has run away from home and survives through theft and begging. Jesse finds new, kind foster parents and has to clean up some rather indecent graffiti he spray-painted in the park. It is there that the troubled teenager and the killer whale meet, and they fall in love with each other at first sight.
