About the series
The Bene Gesserit Order — a secret sisterhood — was created after the Great Jihad. Through relentless training of body and mind, its members acquire a range of extraordinary abilities, which they use to control the development of humanity. A secret yet powerful force, the Bene Gesserit uses a selective genetic program to try to breed the Kwisatz Haderach — a super-mentat, a living computer endowed with prophetic powers. To this end, the order seeks to control as many aspects of life in the inhabited universe as possible, as well as to influence and respond in time to various events.
