About the title
Sam, a terminal hospice patient in a New York suburb, travels with a group of other patients to a puppet theater in Manhattan. As this performance draws to a close, a new one begins: Earth is attacked by hordes of alien monsters that cannot see but can hear everything. Sam decides not to run around pointlessly and instead go one last time to her native Harlem for pizza. Along the way, her cat Frodo, who accompanies her everywhere, meets a terrified law student from England.
