About the series
After the death of Alexei Gradov, owner of a major construction holding, his heirs enter into a battle for a billion-dollar fortune with a former official and business partner of the deceased. On the family's side, the fight is led by the elder Gradov — the family patriarch who founded the business in the '90s but has since withdrawn from it. As an ally he recruits Nadezhda, the company's financier and strategist, who was not only his son's colleague but also his mistress. Besides the redistribution of assets, the Gradovs — wives, children, grandchildren — are busy uncovering old grievances and accumulated grudges against one another. They have everything — money, power, connections, status. But it isn't enough for them. In pursuit of the inheritance, they are ready to tear apart not only the family's enemies, but each other.
