About the title
Ralph is a minor character in an eight-bit video game, and he's tired of living in the shadow of the game's hero, jack-of-all-trades Felix, who always shows up to "fix" things! After ten years of diligently playing the villain, during which all the praise went to Felix, Ralph no longer wants to be the bad guy. He decides to set off on a journey through arcade games of various genres to prove to everyone that he can be a hero too. Along the way, Ralph meets characters from other games — the cool-headed Sergeant Calhoun from "Hero's Duty," who protects the planet from an alien invasion, and the sweet-looking but sharp-tongued Vanellope von Schweetz, whose existence in the racing game "Sugar Rush" is suddenly under threat. At last, Ralph gets his chance to show that he can do more than just wreck things!
