About the series
The series depicts the events of World War II through the eyes of ordinary people on different sides of the conflict. Among them is Nancy, a war correspondent from the US who becomes the first person to witness 1,000 German tanks advancing on France. The show covers the events of the war's first year — from Germany's invasion of Poland in September 1939 to the Battle of Britain in the summer and autumn of 1940.
