About the title
Two American police officers are investigating a case involving drugs smuggled through the CIA. Their partner is killed in the line of duty, and a dockworker becomes both the sole suspect and the sole witness at once, after the murdered man hands him a tape containing compromising material on high-ranking officials before dying. He loses the tape, though, and so has no idea what either the police or the mafia's hired killers want from him, and he barely manages to fend them off.
