About the title
The story of Maria Altmann, who seeks justice by trying to reclaim treasures taken from her family by the Nazis decades ago. Among the woman's cultural heritage is Gustav Klimt's famous painting "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer," sometimes called "Woman in Gold." Together with an inexperienced but courageous young lawyer, the woman tries to prove her rights to her ancestors' legacy.
