About the title
A screen adaptation of the famous computer game "Wing Commander." A landing party from an Earth spacecraft faces deadly weaponry in a hopeless battle for humanity's future. The hostile alien race of the Kilrathi has discovered Earth's coordinates and is heading toward the Solar System with plans of total annihilation. Now the time has come for two young, daring starfighter pilots to break through the Kilrathi's defenses and save their planet from the invading hordes encountered by humans in the depths of space.
