About the series
Widow's Bay is a fishing town on an island 70 kilometers off the coast of New England. One restaurant, one bar, a local history museum, and poor internet reception, so radios and landline phones are still in use. The energetic mayor Tom Loftis, a widower raising a teenage son, dreams of turning the Bay into a tourist hub. But many residents believe the island is cursed and that it's better not to tempt fate. Loftis is waiting for a reporter from The New York Times when the power starts acting up, an old sailor vanishes at sea, and the local soothsayer proclaims that the island is waking up.
