About the title
A corrupt politician hatches a scheme: to make a film for 2,000 crore rupees in order to launder money and dodge taxes. To do this, he hires two directors, Dev and Das, with the sole task of guaranteeing the film's failure. They assemble a ragtag crew: failures, forgotten stars, and cheap technicians ready for anything. Among them is Rajeev (Akshay Kumar), an actor dreaming of a comeback. Filming starts in the jungle near the village of Azaadganj, but nothing goes according to plan. The locals mistake the film crew for real soldiers and beg them to protect them from Zataara's gang (Jackie Shroff). Now the "fake" heroes must play their roles for real, and their attempts to explain the truth turn into absurd, ridiculous situations.
