About the title
In 1969, Marlon Brando hires up-and-coming Los Angeles architect Bernard Judge to build a hotel in Tahiti. Judge arrives on the paradise island with no idea who his client actually is, but his acquaintance with the famous actor grows into a great friendship. Bernie falls in love with the place, and Brando invites him to realize a dream project — building an eco-friendly resort on a neighboring island, the likes of which the world has never seen.
