June 1944. Near Orsha, a large-scale military operation is being prepared. In this area, the enemy's most combat-capable units, far better equipped than the Soviet forces, are holding the defense. Ivan Raikov's partisan unit receives orders from command to carry out an extremely difficult and dangerous mission. Ivan and his trusted fighters set out on reconnaissance. However, the group's task becomes much harder when an enemy unit appears, carrying out with particular zeal a total mopping-up operation in an attempt to suppress all partisan activity in this strategically important region.
