About the title
Jill (Zoë Deutch) tries to cope with grief after the death of her sister Isabelle. She begins leaving voicemails on her sister's number, telling her about her life in San Francisco and sharing intimate thoughts and feelings as if Isabelle were still alive. However, Jill doesn't know that her sister's number has already been reassigned to someone else — Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent from Austin. Listening to these personal and emotional messages, Wes gradually grows fond of the unknown woman and decides to find her.
