About the title
Young elementary school teacher Gemma and handyman Tom decide to move in together and visit a real estate agency, where they are greeted by a very strange employee. He takes them to a newly built residential development in the suburbs, shows them house No. 9, and then disappears. The couple first tries to get out, but soon realize with horror that they are trapped in this eerie, sterile maze of identical houses, and all roads lead them back to house No. 9.
