About the series
Yevgeny lost his wife — she died in a car accident on a winter road. The police told him the person responsible for the accident would never be found. For the sake of his sons, he tries to go on living, desperately clinging to the hope of finding the killer himself. Only two people know what really happened that day: Ivan, who ran Aglaya's compact car off the road into a ditch, and his wife Nina, whom he forced into silence with threats. Having obtained a divorce, Nina moves to the village where the family orphaned through her husband's fault lives. She hopes to help these people in some way. Every day the feeling of guilt eats away at her soul more and more. Meanwhile, it turns out that Yevgeny is not the only one in the village who needs help. Nina throws herself headlong into other people's troubles, hoping to forget her own pain.
