About the title
An imposing man on a train meets a young woman named Helga Pato. He introduces himself as psychiatrist Ángel Sanagustín and tells her about the most nightmarish case from his practice - the story of a paranoid patient. It resembles the whimsical tales of the "Thousand and One Nights," but turns out to be only the beginning of a series of astonishing events that plunge Helga into a whirlwind of madness, perversions, and manias.
