About the title
Based on the short story of the same name by Ivan Bunin. The story unfolds somewhere on the shore of the North Sea. Velga and Kirill grew up together and have known each other since childhood, but their romantic feelings have only recently ripened and fully blossomed. Nothing seems able to cloud their carefree, happy existence — until, on the anniversary of their mother's death, Velga's older sister Snega arrives from the city.
