About the title
1957. Count Dracula plots the unthinkable: to turn the residents of the quiet town of Marlowe into an army of bloodthirsty vampire zombies! He launches his sinister campaign, unleashing hordes of reanimated dead upon the people, who gradually turn the townsfolk into mindless creatures. At first there are few victims, but soon the streets of Marlowe are filled with monsters. However, Dracula miscalculated, underestimating the courage of the locals. The determined Mary, a new deputy sheriff, an experienced detective, and an avid smoker join forces to fight back against Dracula. They manage to rally the townspeople to resistance, revealing the vulnerability of the space vampires - they fear ordinary tobacco smoke! "Vampire Zombies... from Space!" is a Canadian black-and-white comedy horror film made in the parody genre. Director Michael Stasko pays tribute to the science fiction films of the 1950s.
