About the title
A few days before Halloween, three friends — Amy, Marshall, and Gilbert — go on a school field trip to the Ancient Egypt museum. There they learn that one of the mummies was recently lost by the museum during transport. Gilbert recalls that the previous night, he and Marshall saw their neighbor across the street carrying something into his house that suspiciously resembled a person. Deciding to sneak into the neighbor's basement, the trio discovers the very same stolen mummy there, which mysteriously comes to life and, to the friends' relief, turns out to be very friendly. Now Amy, Marshall, and Gilbert must set things right and return their new friend to the museum.
