About the title
Jake Hoyt takes a job with the Los Angeles Police Department's narcotics division. His partner turns out to be the seasoned officer Alonzo Harris, who doesn't always use legal methods in the fight against crime. Almost immediately, Jake finds himself swept up in a whirlwind of fast-moving events.
