About the title
Helsinki, 1945. Young artist Tove Jansson immerses herself in an atmosphere of creative and social freedom. Tove's pursuit of freedom is put to the test when she meets theater director Vivica Bandler. Her love for Vivica completely consumes Tove. In her creative work she prioritized painting, but it turned out that the stories she used to entertain frightened children in the bomb shelter had begun to take on a life of their own. The adventures of the Moomins, infused with events from Tove's own life, brought her international recognition and financial independence.
