About the title
"The Timer is a high-tech device implanted in your wrist that starts counting down when a signal sounds — look around, your perfect partner is right in front of you. 100% guaranteed." Lonely Una O'Leary heard this ad for the new device and rushed to take advantage of the tempting offer. But the girl was unlucky — the Timer implanted in her doesn't work, "not yet," the manufacturers assure her. One day Una meets a charming salesman named Mike, and mutual feelings develop between them.
