About the title
Thor must fight to save Earth and the Nine Realms from a mysterious enemy from a time predating the creation of the universe. After the events of "Thor" and "The Avengers," the hero fights to restore order across the cosmos, but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Facing an enemy that neither Odin nor all of Asgard can withstand, Thor embarks on the most dangerous journey of his life, one that reunites him with Jane Foster on Earth and forces him to sacrifice everything to save the universe.
