About the title
In late 1967, after his parents' death, a boy moves in with his grandmother. She soon notices witches lurking around their town who wouldn't mind turning her grandson into some kind of animal, so she decides to hide out at the most luxurious hotel in Alabama, where her cousin works. Grandma thought they'd only run into bored, wealthy guests there, but it's in this very hotel that the Grand High Witch decides to hold a secret coven.
