About the title
Retiree Ed gets into a fight with a supermarket security guard, after which, on the police's advice, his daughter moves him into her family's home. He isn't thrilled about the move himself, and his 12-year-old grandson Peter is downright furious, since grandpa got his favorite room while Peter got banished to the attic. Unwilling to put up with this blatant injustice, and without thinking about the consequences, the boy declares war on his grandfather. But the old man turns out to be no pushover—after all, he's been through a real war, and like a true old soldier, he's ready to take casualties.
