About the title
Because of her mother's serious illness, young Evie is forced to spend all her time at home. She co-hosts a podcast about paranormal phenomena with her friend Justin, though she herself doubts that anything supernatural really exists. One day, her co-host, who believes in the mystical, sends Evie recordings from a married couple among their listeners who claim to have encountered otherworldly phenomena. The audio makes a frightening impression on her. From then on, the recordings seem increasingly terrifying to Evie, and she gradually begins to lose her mind.
