About the title
Luke is twenty-five. He has autism and has lived a sheltered life with his grandparents. But his world is turned upside down when his grandmother dies. He's forced to move in with a dysfunctional family of relatives who have little patience for either him or his grandfather, whom they soon send off to a nursing home. As a parting word, his grandfather tells Luke: "Get a job. Get a girl. Live your life. Be a man, for God's sake!" For the first time in his life, Luke has a goal, and he sets off in search of it.
