About the title
Boston detective Frank Shaw is involved in an accident while on duty. As a result of the injury he sustains, the police officer loses his hearing. Sixteen months later, Frank returns to work. He is assigned to act as interpreter for a deaf girl, Ava Fremont, who is the only witness to a brutal murder. And it is at that very moment, when the killers return to get rid of the dangerous witness, that Frank and Ava find themselves cornered in an abandoned apartment building. Cut off from the outside world, the deaf man and woman — virtual strangers — can rely only on each other.
