About the title
Spelunkers open up an ancient cave in Pennsylvania and unleash aggressive, bloodthirsty creatures resembling bats. The creatures are blind, navigate by sound alone, move quickly on leathery wings, and reproduce quite rapidly, so they soon spread across North America, bringing chaos, death, and destroying civilization.
