About the title
Arthur Brennan travels to Aokigahara, known as the Sea of Trees, a mysterious dense forest at the foot of Japan's Mount Fuji, where people often go to take their own lives. There he meets Takumi Nakamura, a Japanese man who got lost after attempting suicide. They try to leave the ill-fated forest, completely forgetting their original purpose there and, from time to time, recalling episodes from the main character's life.
