About the title
By decision of the US government, on this particular day, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., all security services cease operating, after which all crimes committed during that time become legal. Shane and Liz are a young couple heading to Los Angeles to spend the scariest night of the year at her sister's place. However, they never manage to reach the city, since their car breaks down in the middle of the highway. Some time later, the couple hears the signal announcing the start of "Purge Night," after which they are immediately pursued by a gang of marauders on motorcycles. At the same time, Sergeant Leo Barnes decides to take revenge on the man responsible for his son's death, while Eva Sanchez and her teenage daughter are forced to flee after armed men break into their home. By chance, these five people end up in the same place, and now they must join forces to survive until seven in the morning...
