About the title
Richard is a college professor in New England whose marriage is going through hard times. One day he learns that he is terminally ill and, without proper medical support, has at most six months left to live. Refusing treatment and deciding not to tell anyone about his illness except a close friend, Richard radically changes his lifestyle.
