About the title
Several people wake up inside a multi-level underground prison they entered voluntarily. Each level holds two inmates, and no one knows exactly how many levels there are. All the floors are connected by a shared shaft, through which a platform loaded with food descends once a day. The platform holds an incredible spread of dishes, but the lower the prisoners live, the smaller their chances of getting anything at all.
