About the title
1950, somewhere in the Middle East. The eccentric tycoon Zsa-zsa Korda survives a string of assassination attempts and launches a grand transcontinental project called "The Phoenician Scheme." Seeking to protect his empire, Korda names his daughter Liesl, whom he pulls out of a convent, as his sole heir. Together they must face numerous enemies and government intrigue, fighting for the future of the family, the business, and all of Phoenicia.
