About the title
A well-off, middle-aged married couple, Amanda and Peter, buy a luxurious penthouse apartment on the ocean shore. "No noisy neighbors," Amanda says happily, not even suspecting how unlucky they really are with their neighbor. Having settled in high above, they start watching the yacht of the gloomy and mysterious boatman Charles. Aboard with him is his beautiful but somewhat downtrodden girlfriend Tessa. At least for a while... When the girl suddenly disappears without a trace, Amanda and Peter begin to suspect Charles of murder. But he, too, is well aware of his curious neighbors. What lengths is he willing to go to in order to silence both witnesses? Drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a cunning criminal, the once quiet and peaceable couple can no longer feel safe even in their own home.
